A altered bottle in the French style of Marie Antoinette. The bottle is square and a pretty rose color.
I used a cut out of Marie Antoinette, and Paris is written on dupionoi silk. There is a page from a french book for the back ground, and vintage lace trim.
Silk ribbon was used here and the button is from my vintage stash.

This is my version of the altered bottle, I tried to make it look like it would be on Marie Antoinette's dressing table full of something exotic and wonderful.
I made the flowers, the fuchsia's are made form silk ribbon and hand dyed, the others are crafted from satin ribbon. The lace is from my vintage stash and I used a page out of a french book as back ground and then the word Paris in bold letters, for contrast.
I think this is my favorite part. the cap. the blue berry is made from satin ribbon and the pink ruffle is that wonderful seam binding, the lace ruffle is entredeux lace also from my vintage stash. This bottle would be so pretty on a vanity table, in a guest bath, or make a darling gift for someone or yourself.
These are my latest addition to my velvet strawberries, some are hand dyed velvet and some are the pastel colors of the velvet un altered , I tried to make these as ruffled and flowery as I could.
They come in many sizes, from the tiny 1" to the large 4" I have sold the 2 in the center of the above picture.
I like this new look with the ruffles and flowers and berries on the top of the strawberry. I think Marie Antoinette would like them too.
All the trimmings are from my stash, I have tons of lace, mostly vintage, buttons by the gallon, ribbon by the boxes, and I mean big boxes, and everything else you can think of.
The fabulous silk print of a flower was one I got at a garage sale too sweet, there were several in this old envelope, all for .50 cents, the sad thing is I have lost them, and this is the only one I got to use. I hope they turn up in one of my piles of to do crafts.
I think this is so pretty it would make a beautiful greeting card. I may have to give that a go. This is the latest but not the last.

In the close up below you can see the detail of the ribbon roses and leaves, as well as the berries. Pink and green are the main colors with just a touch of blue. There is a bit of glitter on the green free form flower, sparkle is always nice.
It measures 12' from tip to tip and is 7" across.
